I have lived in the Heathcote electorate for more than fifty years and currently live in Engadine. I was first elected as the Member for Heathcote following the NSW election on 25 March 2023.
The electorate of Heathcote stretches almost 50 kilometres from Kirrawee in the north to Bulli in the south. The Royal National Park – the second oldest national park in the world – is also located in the Heathcote electorate.
Since being elected, I have hit the ground running, working hard to support the community.
Our government has delivered two state budgets, both have seen significant investment in Heathcote and essential services across the state.
This is a government that delivers on its election commitments.
We've had to clean up 12 years of neglect of our essential services and infrastructure by the former government, there is still so much more to do!
Major projects delivered since I have been elected include:
- Sutherland Primary School Hall: $2.3 million for a new multi-purpose hall at Sutherland Public School.
- Engadine High School Hall: $174.000 to complete construction on a brand-new multi-purpose hall at Engadine High School.
- Bulli Hospital Urgent Care Centre: Residents living in the northern Illawarra region who require care for minor injuries or illness will have access to Bulli Urgent Care Centre (UCC) seven days a week, open from 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 4:30pm on Saturday and Sunday.
- Bulli Bypass: $20 million for a scoping study to investigate the extension of the Memorial Drive bypassing Bulli.
- Heathcote Road Duplication: $180 million committed to duplicate Heathcote Road to improve safety for motorists.
- Coledale Fire Station: $1.65m to provide Coledale Fire Station with a facelift and fit-for-purpose amenities.
- Helensburgh Police Station: $3 million has been committed to upgrade Helensburgh Police Station, fulfilling an election commitment support our frontline workers and invest in essential services. The new Helensburgh Police Station will replace the existing demountable site on Waratah Street and will accommodate up to eight officers on any shift.
I look forward to continuing to deliver for my community.
