The Heathcote electorate stretches from Bulli in the south to Kirrawee in the north, west to Woronora and East to Bundeena.

The electorate covers an area of 467 square metres and takes in the pristine Royal National Park – the second oldest national park in the world – as well as the local government area of Wollongong City Council and Sutherland Shire Council.

The NSW Electoral Commission states there are more than 58,500 electors in the electorate of Heathcote. Maryanne is the first female to be elected as the Member for Heathcote.
