I wish to report that Transport NSW have completed multiple roadwork restoration works along Lawrence Hargrave Drive at Coalcliff. As you would be aware, urgent road works were required at Stanwell Park and Scarborough too.
This work follows an intensive program last year that saw almost $30 million worth of landslip repairs completed on state roads across southern NSW, including $5.5 million of work on Lawrence Hargrave Drive.
The natural disaster recovery work is jointly funded by the Australian and NSW governments through the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements.
TfNSW are also planning further landslip repair work this year and next to help make Lawrence Hargrave Drive more resilient to the effects of extreme weather events.

I thoroughly appreciate the patience and determination of Coalcliff's residence throughout this period for roadworks upgrades and restorations and would like to thank all involved.
All these remaining repairs are geotechnically complex, and solutions are not easily procured. Your community representatives, Transport NSW and I have met to discuss the ongoing status of these works.
On behalf of the Minns Labor Government and the Northern Illawarra residents I want to thank Transport for NSW who have had a challenging 2024 with big demands on roadworks.
