Heathcote MP Maryanne Stuart will hold a fortnightly satellite office in Bulli to cater for residents in the southern end of the electorate.
Due to a boundary redistribution that occurred at the last NSW election, the electorate of Heathcote now spans as far north as Kirrawee and as far south as Bulli.
Mrs Stuart said the fortnightly satellite office at the Bulli Community Centre (328 Princes Highway, Bulli) will make it easier for residents in the Illawarra to raise concerns in person.
“The electorate of Heathcote is quite unique in terms of the area it covers,” she said.
“Whilst it’s exciting and humbling to be able to represent such a large geographical area, it also presents its challenges.
“It is almost a 50 kilometre drive from the southern end of my electorate to the northern tip.
“That presents obvious challenges for residents in the south who want to raise issues with me in person – particularly those who are mobility challenged.
“One of my first tasks when I was elected as the Member for Heathcote was to find a suitable location for a satellite office in the southern end of my electorate.
“I am pleased that location was found so promptly.
“Of course, the Engadine electoral office is also open from 9am-1pm and 2pm-5pm, Monday to Friday as well.”
The first satellite office will be held on Friday, May 19, and every fortnight afterwards.
Bulli office hours will be 9am till 1pm.
Bookings are not essential however they are advised.
