Heathcote MP Maryanne Stuart said the NSW Government was determined to ensure the efforts of teachers were recognised through appropriate remuneration.
Mrs Stuart spoke multiple times in the Parliament of NSW’s Legislative Assembly this week regarding the need to acknowledge and thank teachers for their contribution to the education section – particularly public education.
Mrs Stuart introduced a notice of motion that the house:
1. Acknowledges the hard work and dedication teachers provide to young people in NSW
2. Recognises teachers’ efforts in consistently delivering a quality education for young people
3. Notes the selflessness and sacrifices teachers made particularly at the height of the COID-19 outbreak
4. Thanks teachers throughout NSW for the unwavering commitment to the education sector
