Heathcote MP Maryanne Stuart has encouraged all local sporting organisations to apply for a Level the Playing Field Program grant.
Up to $30 million of funding has been provided by the NSW Government as part of the program aimed at facilitating and supporting the growth of female sporting and recreational activities.
Projects that result in fit-for-purpose and upgraded amenities such as change rooms and improved lighting, would be eligible under the program.
The amount of funding available to state sporting organisations as part of the Organisation Support Program has also been doubled to $5 million.
Applications for the Level the Field Program will close at 1pm on Thursday, 30 November, whilst applications for the Organisation Support Program will close at 2pm on Friday, November 11.

Quotes attributable to Maryanne Stuart, Member for Heathcote:
“The success of teams such as the Matildas, the Australian Diamonds and the Australian’s Women’s cricket side have really helped to inspire the next generation of female sporting stars.
“But for those athletes to thrive, it is important they have access to amenities like change rooms and fields that are fit-for-purpose.
“If female sporting participation rates are going to rise even further, it is important athletes feel supported and nurtured.
“We certainly have our fair share of talented female sporting stars throughout the Heathcote electorate already and I can’t wait to see the next generation shine as well.
“I would encourage every local sporting organisation throughout the Heathcote electorate to apply for a Level the Playing Field Program grant.”
