The Coledale Waves Football Club is celebrating its thirtieth anniversary this year. For three decades Coledale Waves has been more than just a football club: It has been a cornerstone of our community, fostering not only athletic excellence but also camaraderie, sportsmanship and a sense of belonging. Since its inception the Coledale Waves Football Club has been dedicated to promoting the love of football among all age groups, from its enthusiastic youth teams to its steadfast senior players. With 412 registered players, 90 of whom are female, and 32 teams, the club maintains a strong membership base with a focus on widening participation. Its iconic pink jersey was chosen to replace the previous maroon jersey 10 years ago to highlight breast cancer awareness and to raise funds. I recognise the tireless efforts of the coaches, players, volunteers and supporters who have contributed to the club's success over the years. Their dedication and passion have ensured that the Coledale Waves Football Club continues to thrive and inspire future generations.
