We are so lucky to have a plethora of schools throughout the Heathcote electorate filled to the brim with dedicated, passionate and committed staff and teachers. One of those schools is Engadine High School. Established in 1969, the school has gone from strength to strength over the past five decades. This has been particularly highlighted by the school receiving three Director General's Awards. The first, in 2002 for excellence in performing arts; the second in 2004 for consolidating a strong learning culture; and the third in 2006 for the outstanding linkages program with primary. Those achievements speak volumes of the school's culture and commitment towards providing the best learning outcomes for its students. The role of teachers and staff in shaping our youngest generations should never be understated. It's the experiences and knowledge gained from a students during their time at school that ultimately shapes their future. I have the utmost respect for teachers and staff and the incredible work they do on a daily basis. That gratitude certainly extends to the teachers and staff at Engadine High School. On behalf of the entire Heathcote electorate, thank you.
