We’re fixing our train services

The Minns Labor Government is working to deliver more frequent and more reliable services for passengers.

The former Liberal Government neglected rail maintenance leaving passengers to experience delays and unreliable services.

Since coming into Government, we’ve invested a record $2.1 billion dollars in rail maintenance and incident response, which is why we have had to regularly shut down the network on weekends.

From the 15th of November, the Minns Labor Government is delivering a new train timetable with more services and better reliability.

Passengers in Sutherland, Loftus, Engadine, Heathcote and Waterfall will benefit from more frequent services, with trains running as often as every 3 minutes and 45 seconds at Sutherland.

All train services will stop at Sydenham, giving passengers a direct connection to Sydney Metro.

We know there’s more to do, but this is an important step towards delivering the reliable train service our community deserves.
